2011 was certainly a big year, for style and personal reasons. Looking back on my favorite outfits of 2011, I realized how much my style has evolved. It might not be that noticeable, but to me it is. There were many ups and downs to 2011, the most notable up being the opening of my own vintage boutique. It's really wonderful. Overall, I would say it was a great year. I finally got my apartment in order, I got to spend a ton of time with my lovely mother, ate some fabulous meals with my boy, and really came into my own as a person.
Here's to 2012! I hope you'll be a great year.

My notable obsessions this year include: Ferragamo flats, vintage band tees, oversize grandma sweaters, and the infamous Missoni for Target collection.

Best purchases of the year: My first pair of Ferragamo's, an IPHONE, cap toe Chanel flats, all my Missoni for Target pieces, Sam Edelman Zoe boots, and every thrift find I freaked out over.

I'm off, I probably won't talk to you until next year. Kiss someone great at midnight! I know I will be. Happy New Year!

the leopard hat

Thrifted sweater, Target tee, gifted scarf, Charlotte Russe leggings, Sam Edelman Zoe boots, and gifted leopard hat.

It's been almost a week since I've posted, that's because I had quite the busy Christmas. Yesterday when I took these photos, I was still feeling exhausted. I opted for my most comfortable clothing. There is something so comforting about leggings, a baggy tee, and my favorite grandpa sweater. I also got to wear this leopard hat my boyfriend got me for Christmas. He was super sweet and knew it was so goofy, but I really wanted it. I love goofy things like this, something about having paws just gets me.
He also officially turned me into an anime nerd by getting me a shirt from my favorite show. I pretty much freaked out, I can't fight the nerd.

I'm going to enjoy some of my Christmas presents before bed. Did you get anything wonderful this year?

boy meets girl

My boyfriend's H&M sweater, Charlotte Russe sequin shorts, Target tights, thrifted boots, and Icing sunglasses.

I love taking something super girly like sequins and dressing it down with boyish features. For a day of holiday mischief at my parents, I wore these awesome pleated shorts. The sequins aren't too big, which makes them less tacky (only slightly though, I love tacky). I borrowed my boyfriend's sweater that I gave him awhile back, just because it's so comfy. I enjoyed my daytime sparkle, boy meets girl outfit.

I honestly don't have too much to say right now, I'm so busy with Christmas preparations. I'm also an hour late to make dinner! Oopsies.
If I don't update before the holidays then, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or happy whatever else you celebrate!

So many details on this blouse.

Vintage 40's era hand embroidered silk blouse, vintage 1960's skirt, gifted scarf, Target tights, and Betsey Johnson pumps.

Today I was feeling very classic. What's more classic than a floaty blouse and high waist circle skirt? When I got home from work, my boyfriend said I looked like a secretary from the 40's. I took that as a big compliment. I was also in a very festive mood, so I traded black tights for bright red. I have so many "statement" tights, it's time to wear them.
This skirt was one of the best thrift finds ever. Lost in the racks, like so many of my finds, was this skirt. A circle skirt appeared just when I was craving one in my wardrobe, and at 3 dollars. It was fate (I know so, so dramatic).
I love this outfit, I think it epitomizes my style deep at its core. Classic and simple. I really can't describe my style when asked. I'm all over the place, but at the end of the day simple looks are my favorite.

I am getting so excited for Christmas! I'm so excited that I took off work the rest of this week to do Holiday activities. I still have so much to do. Oh well, time to eat some cookies!

Hang Ten maxi dress, Target cardigan, gifted scarf, Icing sunglasses, and Aldo mignogna wedges.

This past week my ensembles have been consisting of cardigans and scarves. It's the simplest combination to put together when the weather gets chilly. I'm sorry if it gets boring to you readers, I guess it's just my inner grandma coming to life. My boyfriend always tells me I'm truly a grandma because I like; big sweaters, Werther's Originals, kooky old lady prints, cats, anything butterscotch, and the fact that I'm just old fashioned in general. There are many more examples, I just don't want to bore you.
On this particular day, I decided to pair my favorite old cardigan, with a maxi dress I got over the summer. You may remember me describing how I got it for free HERE. It's not a promotion, I swear. Anyway, just having the long skirt really made a difference in the cold factor. I was a lot warmer and this surprised me. I'll have to break this bad boy out when it gets REALLY cold. We're talking like 12 degrees, I just hope it doesn't get that cold this year.

I'm late for work, so I'll be leaving now. I hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday season!

Missoni for Target cardigan, Forever 21 tee, Express jeans, gifted scarf, and Aldo segura pumps.

There's nothing like wearing your favorite slouchy jeans, a nice comfy cardigan, and the tiniest (they're a size 5), tallest pumps you own. I love these shoes and don't wear them enough. I'm just fortunate I can wear them right now due to no snow on the ground. I really like that.
I'm not really into matching shoes with my outfit but, on this particular day I wanted to. I like the end result.
This is the first time I'm wearing my blue Missoni for Target cardigan. I picked it up on clearance about a month ago. It's so comfy, warm, and easy to wear. Perfect for wearing all Winter. Although, if the weather keeps up there won't be much of a Winter. Here's hoping!
