Target sweater and socks, Express boyfriend jeans, thrifted leather bag, eBay sunglasses, and BCBGMaxAzria sandals.

I have been obsessed with this sweater ever since I saw it at Target way back in August. Yesterday, I finally bought it. After patiently waiting, it was marked down to clearance! Yay! I decided to be a kooky lady and pair the sweater with some crazy socks. I picked up this pair yesterday, also for $3 - they're so cute! This fall I noticed I have been trying out colors I never would've a year ago. I'm starting to love this rich burgundy color and a lot of pieces I've been buying lately have been mustard. I love the winds of change. Constantly evolving as a person is one of the best parts of life. I love trying new things style-wise (and life-wise) and adding them to my current rotation. I was talking to my hair stylist yesterday, and we were talking about our style. I couldn't pin my style down. I love so many different things when it comes to fashion and I wear what I love. If I love something, I get it. I think a lot of people see something they love and say "I can't pull that off." Why not try if it's something you really like? What I like is crazy sweaters and crazy socks. It made the perfect outfit for the chilly day we had today.

I hope your week went stellar. I'm excited because I start my part-time job tomorrow!

the matching shoes

Missoni for Target cardigan, Forever 21 tee, Express jeans, gifted scarf, and Aldo segura pumps.

There's nothing like wearing your favorite slouchy jeans, a nice comfy cardigan, and the tiniest (they're a size 5), tallest pumps you own. I love these shoes and don't wear them enough. I'm just fortunate I can wear them right now due to no snow on the ground. I really like that.
I'm not really into matching shoes with my outfit but, on this particular day I wanted to. I like the end result.
This is the first time I'm wearing my blue Missoni for Target cardigan. I picked it up on clearance about a month ago. It's so comfy, warm, and easy to wear. Perfect for wearing all Winter. Although, if the weather keeps up there won't be much of a Winter. Here's hoping!

Zac Posen for Target leather jacket, American Apparel grey bodysuit, Levi's jeans, Metaphor pumps, vintage belt, and Icing sunglasses.

I love pairing rugged items like leather jackets and ripped jeans with feminine pumps. It's a great juxtaposition and adds femininity to an otherwise manly outfit.
I could have chosen a neutral pump to go with my bloody red jacket, but I was feeling the monochromatic look. It's not true monochrome though, I could have worn my red jeans. That would have been killer! (I'm joking I don't think I, or most people could pull that off.)
This motorcycle jacket is one of my favorite pieces. I really don't wear it enough. The mix of suede and leather is genius. Not to mention, I picked this jacket up for $50 bucks when it was originally $200. Ah, the payoff of being patient. I waited week after week last summer for Target to mark down all of the Zac Posen merchandise. Wow that sounds pretty pathetic, but hey that's my life. In case you haven't noticed I love clothing way too much. I also love the Zac Posen for Target line way too much. I still search eBay for all the pieces that I'm missing. It's like Pokemon, I've gotta catch em' all.
One day...

For now I'll just wear what I have out to dinner with my boy. I'm going to our local amusement park's fright fest tomorrow. Should be a killer time! (See what I did there?)

Year End

New Year's day will mark the one year anniversary of my blog!
So much has happened in 2010, it was one of the best years of my life.
So as the year winds down I'd love to share some of my favorite outfits of the year!

One of the first photos I managed to take outside, I think that the boy and I have considerably improved.

One of my first posts after getting the hang of things, still pretty simple.

The weather got nice so early this year so I was able to show off my bare legs in March!

Scoring these platforms was one of best purchases of the year. I wanted them so badly for three years!

This one is an outfit I never posted because at the time I wasn't happy with the photos. One of my favorite outfits of the year though!

My 21st birthday outfit!

This vintage dress was one of my favorite thrift finds of the year!

This year I truly found my own style. Without realizing, I've gone for more simplicity. Just dresses and heels or skirts and tops. I guess I've just always been a believer in simple things and looking good on a budget.

I hope everyone loved reading my blog this year! Happy New Year and happy frugal hunting!

Morgan

Before the Snow

So, the reason for my lack of posting is...there have been terrible blizzards here! It's been so cold and bitter and everything became covered with snow.
Here are some photos I snapped before the storms.

I can't even go on my balcony anymore because there is so much snow!

I wasn't feeling very good that day so excuse my faces.

Hand-me-down blazer, Levi's boyfriend jeans, Forever 21 tee, vintage belt, and Betsey Johnson platforms.

Enjoy the last bit of the weekend!

Morgan
