Gifted Gap shirt, vintage 50's skirt, vintage leather purse, vintage 60's hair bow, and BCBG Max Azria sandals.

I really didn't mean for this outfit to come out so pink-centric, it just ended up that way. Some people find it hard to believe, but I used to be (and still am deep down) a tomboy. Until a few years ago, I was uncomfortable wearing pink because I was uncomfortable being girly. Also, because of the brash femininity clothing its shade seems to be. As I grew, so did my girly side and I can rock a pink outfit like this every once in awhile. I don't think you can get more feminine than a 1950's hot pink circle skirt.
I like having many layers to my personality - it's what makes me human.

Every time I post an outfit of me in heels, I feel like I'm always wearing these. I'M SORRY! I have at least 100 pairs of shoes, but I'm always in these sandals. It's because they go with freaking everything! They're also perfect in the summer, which is so short here that I have to wear them while I can.

I hope you had a great start to your week. I'm anxiously waiting for my order of the Nyx Macaron lipsticks to arrive! AHHH I CAN'T WAIT!

Threadless tee, Missoni for Target cardigan, H&M skinny jeans, Luella sunglasses, thrifted flats and purse.

Saturday in Ocean City was sunny and warm (well, as warm as 55 degrees can be). I could have stayed on the beach forever. I love the ocean and modeled my outfit after that. You can't tell from the photos but this awesome tee has a boat on it. HERE'S a better look. It was very fitting for being by the sea.
Brian and I had so much fun on this day. We strolled along the ocean, went to the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum on the boardwalk, and gorged ourselves on an amazing buffet.
One of the best vacations ever. Even though it was my second time there, I have to go back.

I hope your week is going well. I'm still adjusting to being back home.

Vintage velvet jacket, gifted tee, thrifted Bongo jeans, thrifted vintage leather bag, and Aldo Mignogna wedges.

I'm slowly getting into the Christmas spirit. It's taking me a little longer this year, normally I'm Christmas's biggest fan. I honestly love this time of year. Family time, baked goods, and just making people happy is what makes me happy. Not to be a debbie-downer, but I think it's hard because it's the first year without my grandmother. She loved Christmas and tried to make it super special for the whole family.

Anyway, I decided to be obnoxiously festive with this outfit. I love this tee because I do believe in Santa. It was a gift from Brian's mom last year and I couldn't wait to wear! Unfortunately I only got to wear it once, so it'll be in overdrive this season.

I'm going to be doing a lot of decorating in the next few days. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Missoni for Target cardigan, H&M jeans, Target tee, vintage necklace, thrifted leather bag, and Betsey Johnson platforms.

Snapped these photos quick before heading to a birthday dinner for my dad. I was upset that my necklace was turned around for most of the photos! That darn thing never wants to stay straight.
I've been leaning more on the causal side of dressing lately. Mostly due to the fact I feel like I'm always on the go. Things should finally be slowing down after this week, it will be a nice change.

I finally found a nice pair of jeans that I LOVE (two actually). Being short and having hips makes finding jeans that fit very hard. Low-rise jeans tend to look awful on me because they accentuate my hips. I love not having a straight up and down body, but it makes it hard to find great denim! I found these wonderful regular waist skinnies at H&M, the last place I thought to look. They were only $20 full price. My wallet sang a song of relief. I try not to spend more than $30 on jeans, I feel it's unnecessary to shell out big bucks for jeans. That's just my opinion though.

Tuesday is almost over already and I can't believe it. I hope you had a great start to your week.

Charlotte Russe shorts, Target tee, and Classified Footwear sandals.

I put minimal effort into getting dressed this morning. I had a long day of laundry and other fun household related things to do. I haven't worn these shorts since last summer and each time I do I become a little more uncomfortable. I think they are 1" shorter than my comfort zone. To offset all the leggy-reavealiness (yes, that's totally a real term) I wore a baggy tee. My favorite baggy tee in fact. Nothing is more of a staple or a creature comfort than a white tee.

Yes, I still do wear gladiator sandals. After almost 4 years of owning them, I still love wearing them. Yesterday, I had the ditziest moment of my life involving these sandals. After years of unbuckling and buckling them to put them on/take them off, I realized that was what the zipper was for. DUH. Now it takes significantly less time to put them on, I love it! I feel pretty stupid though. I don't care if these sandals are soooo 2008, they'll probably be on my feet for years to come.

Well, my chore day is through and the week is halfway over. Hope you're having a happy summer!

Thrifted vintage shorts, Target tee, gifted chiffon scarf, Vintage sunglasses, and Miss Trish for Target lizard sandals.

Sometimes, you just have to dress for comfort. For instance, on a day when your body calls in sick but you have things to do. That's what today was for me.
I felt like a soft white tee and jean shorts would perfect, not to mention a summer staple. I added this pretty floral scarf to add something extra to the outfit. It was a sweet gift from my boyfriend's mom (she also gave me a really cool romper I'll have to show you).

While I'm recuperating, I hope the rest of you are having a great start to the week.

Thrifted vintage Levi's, Target tee, gifted Mexican hat, Miss Trish for Target lizard sandals, and Kohl's elephant necklace (The lizards and elephant are my "creatures").

Sitting by the pool all day and casually taking a dip sounds like the best way to spend a 90 degree day. Unfortunately, life doesn't always allow that to happen. I had to run a bunch of errands today and keeping an outfit simple is sometimes the best way to beat the heat.
I know you've seen a lot of shorts on my blog lately; I'm sorry they are a warm weather staple. They're no fuss dressing and with the wind we've been having I don't have to worry about a skirt flying over my head.
Today was also a great day to take my new hat for a spin. My boyfriend's mom brought it back from Mexico. She always brings us back the best stuff, she's so sweet!
It's perfect for summer and was suppose to be for my boyfriend, but it's too small for his head (he would argue that it's because his brain is HUGE, haha).

Well, for some reason I'm exhausted and I'm not in a very good mood. I'll go recuperate; hope you're having a great start to the week!

forever free

Thrifted tee, thrifted Old Navy shorts, thrifted purse, and Miss Trish for Target lizard sandals.

Sunshine, forest paths, and ugly 90's tee shirts is what my Sunday consisted of. I can't help my love of hideous tee shirts; it seems to go hand in hand with a love of ugly sweaters. This particular shirt I got at Salvation Army last week for a $1.50. The "Forever Free" stamped in the middle of two wolves and a Native American amused me.
These of kind of shirts make me realize my hidden desire to move into a log cabin and decorate my house with antler chandeliers. I'd probably wear a lot of turquoise jewelry too.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day! I sure did, lots of eating and time with my family.
