the grungy outfit

Vintage Pink Floyd tee, Charlotte Russe leggings, thrifted sweater, and years old Converse sneakers.

Every girl needs that outfit that she can bum around her house in, take walks in, and just feel free in. This is mine. When I'm spending a lot of time at my apartment, I find myself living in this shirt. It's my favorite vintage band tee, especially because it came from The Wall Tour - that's freaking awesome. Words cannot describe how much I love this shirt.
I rarely ever wear leggings when I'm out and about anymore, but I find them too comfortable not to bum around in at home. The only problem is, they seem to attract cat hair. Yuck.
My 7 year old Converse are also a must for taking walks, or running errands. They are still my go-to sneaker. After all this time, I think they are finally the perfect amount of worn-in.

I hope everyone is having a great week. I'm heading back to work tomorrow after a loss in my family. I'm pretty excited to get on a normal routine again.

a love for ugly sweaters

Thrifted vintage sweater, Charlotte Russe leggings, thrifted boots, and Vintage Ray Ban wayfarers.

When I'm not feeling up to par, my favorite thing to do is slip on a comfy sweater and relax. Most of my sweaters seem to be wacky and tacky items of clothing. I don't care though, I have a strange love for them. My boyfriend, and pretty much everyone else hates them. This one especially. I found this crazy sweater at a thrift store for two dollars, I couldn't help but take it home. It looked brand new.
I wore it to a gathering to watch playoff games. I definitely had the most sparkle in the room, maybe that's not a good thing.

Hello Kitty for Forever 21 leggings, thrifted pullover sweater, I don't remember where I got this coat, Target boots and scarf.

Let's be honest, Winter around here is the least glamorous season. I've been extremely spoiled by upper 40's pretty much all this season, I forgot what real Winter felt like. This weekend it was really cold. When the frigid weather hits, I try to keep my style without freezing. Sometimes that's really hard.
On Saturday, to keep warm I donned many layers and my Hello Kitty leggings. I love those things so much, they are just the right amount of kooky. Also, even though I wore boots my feet were still freezing. I guess that's what 16 degrees will do to you.

It's still pretty cold here, I'm going to make myself some soup and warm up.

the leopard hat

Thrifted sweater, Target tee, gifted scarf, Charlotte Russe leggings, Sam Edelman Zoe boots, and gifted leopard hat.

It's been almost a week since I've posted, that's because I had quite the busy Christmas. Yesterday when I took these photos, I was still feeling exhausted. I opted for my most comfortable clothing. There is something so comforting about leggings, a baggy tee, and my favorite grandpa sweater. I also got to wear this leopard hat my boyfriend got me for Christmas. He was super sweet and knew it was so goofy, but I really wanted it. I love goofy things like this, something about having paws just gets me.
He also officially turned me into an anime nerd by getting me a shirt from my favorite show. I pretty much freaked out, I can't fight the nerd.

I'm going to enjoy some of my Christmas presents before bed. Did you get anything wonderful this year?

and the rain never stopped

Alright, alright, I'll admit it, I'm a leggings junkie. When you live in a climate with such a harsh winter, they're perfect. I'm no advocate of wearing leggings as pants though, no way. Even though this sweater is almost too short to wear with them. I think I won't be pairing it with leggings in the future. I don't want the world to see every nook and cranny of my bum.
The weather was absolutely miserable this weekend, and it seriously made me think of packing everything up and driving all the way to California. Yes, sweater weather has arrived. I love sweaters, LOVE them. I just don't like the weather that comes along with them. If the temperatures dipped into the 40's or even 30's with sunshine all the time, I don't think I would have a problem.
Rain and wind, sleet and snow = NO FUN.

Well, today's my day off. Time to turn on the heat, put on some slippers and clean my apartment. Fun day. No, it really is, that's not sarcasm (for once).

my true colors

I know I look like a sullen serious girl a lot on my blog, but that's not what I'm like at all. I can be serious but most of the time I'm a weird goof ball. I want to make sure I portray myself in a completely honest light. That means showing myself in the most unflattering poses.
On Saturday my boy and I partook in a photo walk my mom was hosting. We walked all over the town I work in, snapping photos. Brian (my boy) had a ball snapping everything, including me all over the place. It was a lot of fun except, the weather did not corporate. It was 45 degrees and raining, of course now it's 60 and sunny.
It was my first time wearing a coat since last winter, it depressed me just a little.

I'm heading out to recoup before work tomorrow, I haven't been feeling well lately.
Have a great night!
xoxo

Target top and moto boots, 10 year old American Eagle jean jacket, and Charlotte Russe leggings.

One of my favorite things in the entire world is dressing up and most days I am dressy; but there are some days you just want to throw on something simplistically stylish and comfortable. This is my super casual Sunday downtime look. I'm wearing one of my favorite tees that I spotted at Target back in November for 5 bucks. It goes with everything and the color is gorgeous. My jean jacket is nearly 10 years old, I got it for my 12th birthday. When I was younger I could never figure out what to wear it with, now I'm happy I have it!
I know the look may not be original or fabulous, but to me it's my perfect casual look.

Morgan

Paradise City

Well I feel so lazy for not updating. Life has been so crazy. My craziest day was yesterday, between a fender bender and my cat peeing on my bed I almost went crazy! I still managed to take some photos though.
Photobucket
The weather lately has been warm with a chilly breeze and storms being a constant threat. I try to wear light pieces that won't make me overheat, with a warmer accent so I won't be too cold. For example my favorite pashmina scarf.
Photobucket
I love this shirt/dress. I couldn't make myself spend 17 dollars on it, so when I found a Medium on clearance for 5 dollars I got it. It's a little big but that doesn't stop me!

So the exciting news I've been talking about for over a month is finally ready to be announced.
I am officially a model signed to The Keen Modeling Agency! I am very VERY EXCITED!

I am going to force myself to get into the rhythm of posting again!
XOXO,

Snake

These photos are from Thursday when it was incredibly rainy and dreary.
Photobucket
These were taken by my mom at her house :)
Also if you notice my star necklace, it's actually pretty special. It's made out of recycled two-liter soda bottles by woman in Africa. It's so smooth it almost feels like glass.
Photobucket
I thought this look would be too plain without something. I experimented with this old scarf, thought it created a funky look.

The blue on my leggings and shoes is a lot brighter in person.
