(My good side)
Thrifted Forever 21 dress, Zac Posen for Target leather jacket circa 2010, vintage belt, and Forever 21 platforms.

I have quite a number of dresses that resemble nightgowns and slips. Maybe that says a lot about the time I grew up in. When I was younger in the 90s, all the cool older girls wore dresses like that. So as an adult, I've seemed to gravitate toward them. This is just one of a few, but I think I like it the best. It has the most daytime wear-ability of them all.  Plus, it's very silky soft!

This jacket owns my heart. Seriously. It gives me Michael Jackson vibes and makes me want to break into a rendition of Thriller. Don't think people on the street would appreciate my horrible screeching and dancing...
There's just something so magical about leather jackets. They're timeless and I love the way they smell(that's probably weird). Plus, they make me feel like a badass when I wear one.
Almost like I could take on the world.

looking for adventure and whatever comes our way

Dat double chin tho.
Vintage 1960's dress, years old Charlotte Russe jacket, and years old Aldo wedges.

If you've been around awhile, you may recall that I blogged about this dress last year. Since it cooled off a bit, I styled it a bit differently. I just can't let it pass by without being photographed again. It's a superstar that deserves some attention.
The only problem I have with it is that it fits like a glove. A skintight glove. I can't really eat much when I wear it, I learned that the hard way. So next time I wear it, it won't be for long. Also, the shorts that are attached to the bottom kept ripping at the seam all day. Good thing you couldn't see my butt or you'd just see a giant split in my pants. I felt like Chris Farley or something.
Maybe it's time to find a better home for it where it can truly be appreciated. The problem with that is, it's one of my vintage babies. And like any good mama, I have an attachment to them.
I do own a lot of clothing, it's true. While that might seem materialistic to some, I view my collection as an extension of who I am on the inside. I try to only buy things I truly love because otherwise what's the point? We have limited time on this earth, might as well love and value everything we have. Plus, hunting for vintage treasures is fun. I mean, I made a business out of it.

ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb

IMG_4872 IMG_4880 IMG_4888 IMG_4875 IMG_4882 IMG_4871 IMG_4887IMG_4866 IMG_4878 IMG_4885 IMG_4892
90s All That Jazz jumpsuit, 12 year old American Eagle jean jacket (it was my 13th birthday present), Prada bag from Panache Consignment, and vintage Chanel flats.

I just can't seem to stop myself from finding, purchasing, and wearing some of the most ridiculous pieces of clothing. This horrific/amazing, cherry-clad jumpsuit comes straight out of the 90s. It originally had small shoulder pads, which were pretty common in early 90s clothing. They are an unfortunate leftover from putting shoulder pads in everything (even t-shirts) in the 80s. I immediately ripped those puppies out. Honestly, they really wouldn't have been too bad on someone else, but my shoulders are pretty broad already.
Shoulder pads or not, the fact that this exists makes me happy. Sometimes when I find a really weird or unique piece, it makes me giddy. It reminds me that there are other really weird people out there and I like that. Without the weird, life wouldn't be nearly as interesting.
So next time you're bored, find yourself a ridiculous jumpsuit and take a walk.
Or something like that.

Calvin Klein satin cargo jacket, thrifted silk blouse, Forever 21 two-tone jeans, and Acne Atacoma boots.

While running some very important errands in the city, my mom and I decided that the perfect place to take photos would be in front of my dream house. A perfect pale-pink Victorian that looks like a giant dollhouse. I'm so obsessed with it I have it set so Zillow will email me if it ever goes on the market. Hopefully, that will be a substantial amount of years from now when I have the means to buy it. Of course, this is all dream talk.

I wanted to keep my outfit casual yet professional today and I thought one of the best pieces to wear would be my new Calvin Klein jacket. I happened to get super-lucky and was at the outlet mall when they were having a MAJOR blowout sale. Half of the store was $5. I ended up with this jacket and an amazing pair of two-toned slacks. I couldn't believe they were only $5 each. Crazy.
I also got to break in my new boots! I couldn't be in love with a pair of shoes more. They are so comfortable and I couldn't stop looking at my feet all day. I still can't believe I own them. I was going through old blog posts and found a dream shoe list from back in 2010. These boots were on it and now they're on my feet. I'm mystified.

I hope you're having an amazing week. Mine is pretty exciting, but more on that later.

Forever 21 dress, vintage Guess jean jacket, and Betsey Johnson pumps.

It was almost 70 degrees today! I had to go for bare legs. Unfortunately, it started pouring halfway through the day. Good thing I have a mom that's a photographer and she took these photos inside for me.

I haven't worn this dress in forever and I thought it would be a good day to break it out once again. That, and I needed a good outfit to try out my new lipstick. It's CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Divine and I'm in love with it. I might post a review on it later in the week in case you need a lipstick recommendation.

Well, I hope your week is going stellar. I've had a rough start with some tough decisions to make. I'm happy as a clam now and I can't wait to get back on the blogging saddle.

Thrifted jumpsuit, thrifted vintage Guess jean jacket, years old belt, thrifted bag, and Aldo Segura pumps.

I had these photos all ready to be posted on Friday. Then life kicked my butt. I haven't had that busy of a weekend/Monday in such a long time. Sorry for the delay! I was very excited to share these.
I really love this jean jacket. You will gasp when I tell you how much it was - no really, you will! A whopping 30 cents. I got it at the same time as all my 40 cent bags when one of the best thrift shops in town was closing. It probably would have only been 2 dollars full price, but 30 cents is like getting something for free. I like to keep my outfits paired with jean jackets pretty simple, so I put it with this amazing jumpsuit. It's been sitting in my closet for over a year. I have to admit, I really love jumpsuits. When you find the right one, they can be super flattering and be an extra piece to spice up a bland wardrobe. Not to mention, you can have your pick of almost every style at the thrift store. I found this one at Salvation Army for two bucks.

I have to stop writing this immediately because mac n' cheese pizza is calling my name.
