Thrifted skirt, gifted t-shirt, vintage 60's cardigan, vintage 40's hat, vintage 60's coat, Target tights, and Ferragamo flats.

I'm clearly obnoxiously into dressing for the holidays. In the past week, I've been pulling anything that's red or green out of my closet (and sometimes pairing it together like this). Luckily for me, this newly thrifted skirt of mine is red AND green.
It's actually a girl's skirt, but it fits me. The only part about it that doesn't fit me is the suspenders. I left them hanging to the side because if I had put them on, I would have looked like I was wearing a ridiculous tunic.
When I thrift, I don't care what age or gender a particular item of clothing belongs to. If I like it and it fits me, it's coming home with me!

I'm so happy I actually remembered to wear a hat. I'm such a spaz that I normally forget any kind of accessory and all the beautiful hats I have never get worn. I'm thinking about leaving myself post-it notes all over the house to remind me to accessorize. Is that overkill?

I hope you're having a great week and surviving the first big snow storm!

Lauren Conrad for Kohl's pleather shorts, vintage 50's sweater, thrifted Kathy Van Zeeland bag, Missoni for Target hat, and vintage Ferragamo gator flats.

This outfit is a tweaked version of one I wore on the blog last year. This time I added a little more flair with the Missoni for Target hat that I (regrettably) hadn't worn yet. It's a great hat. Mostly because when I wake up hating everyone, I can easily hide my face.
I also decided to wear my brown Ferragamos. Out of the three pairs I own, they definitely see the least love. My mother would say, "brown shoes don't make it."

These pleather shorts are totally a highlight of my wardrobe. I have an inexplicable obsession for leather/pleather bottoms. My black leather shorts frequently get a workout (with much confusion from Brian). The next obnoxiously 80's leather piece I'm trying out is a lipstick red pencil skirt. Stay tuned.
I guess I'll always be that girl with a penchant for tacky things.
Life is more fun that way.

Forever 21 sweater, Target black jeans, vintage 60's coat, thrifted leather bag, Forever 21 hat, and Target boots.

I never thought I'd find the perfect pair of black jeans at Target. I was perusing the 70% off rack just for fun and found this pair. I tried them on not expecting much and BAM! They fit perfectly. Okay, so maybe the sequin stripes down the sides are a little much (sequins are never too much), but I like to be a little tacky at all times.

The temperatures were still frigid over the weekend so I stuck to my jeans/sweater combo. It's really the only kind of outfit I can stand to wear when it's 12 degrees. I got to take my new hat and sweater out for a spin and was super-excited. I got them at Forever 21's extra 50% off clearance sale. The sweater was $7 and the hat was $5. I was blown away!

It's supposed to be a little warmer the next few days so I plan on wearing a ton of seasonally-inappropriate clothes.
