Vintage sweater, Target jeans, gifted purse, and thrifted Timberland boots.

So, I'm officially horrible at blogging, but to be fair the weather really hasn't been in my favor. It makes me dress like a normal person (yuck). This is the first time I've worn a real outfit in ages. If this even qualifies as a real outfit. Mostly I hate this time of year because I have to take photos inside and they always look like poop.

Anyway, let me talk about how much I love these pants. I love that there is a sequin stripe down the side. Brian says they are marching band pants and I legitimately had a 5 minute argument with him about it. I said they were pants that Mick Jagger would wear. Totally right (AGREE WITH ME)? That's what I think of and they make me feel like a British rockstar. In the winter I frequently find myself trying to look like a dirty rockstar. Alter ego or just crazy?

Speaking of things Brian doesn't care for - this sweater. The popcorn sweater. It's been on my blog plenty of times and each time I think I love it more. It's hideously 80's and tacky, which is basically my second language. It even has the shoulder pads still. I refuse to take them out. Usually I take shoulder pads out of most things, but the thought of shoulder pads in a sweater was just too hilarious.

FUN FACT: I really enjoyed airbrushing the teriyaki sauce that was all over my chin from dinner. I didn't realize it was there.

If you were curious, I'll tell you the reason I was laughing in this last photo. I don't hide the fact that I love anime, so if you don't you can jump ship now. I was listening to the theme song to this great anime parody. If only there was a real show like that.
I hope you are surviving winter!

Threadless tee, Missoni for Target cardigan, H&M skinny jeans, Luella sunglasses, thrifted flats and purse.

Saturday in Ocean City was sunny and warm (well, as warm as 55 degrees can be). I could have stayed on the beach forever. I love the ocean and modeled my outfit after that. You can't tell from the photos but this awesome tee has a boat on it. HERE'S a better look. It was very fitting for being by the sea.
Brian and I had so much fun on this day. We strolled along the ocean, went to the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum on the boardwalk, and gorged ourselves on an amazing buffet.
One of the best vacations ever. Even though it was my second time there, I have to go back.

I hope your week is going well. I'm still adjusting to being back home.

Thrifted My Chemical Romance shirt, Forever 21 two-tone jeans, Target sweater and scarf, thrifted leather bag, vintage Ray-Bans and Sam Edelman Zoe boots.

This outfit paid homage to the teenage me: the Morgan that wanted to wear all black and hang out in band tees. When I was 16, I could never imagine that I'd be wearing Zoe boots in the future. I'm pretty lucky.

This particular band tee was a very special find. I found it last week while doing my rounds of the men's t-shirts at Salvation Army. It's from one of my all-time favorite albums: Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by My Chemical Romance (duh, it says it right there). It was a small and was 50 cents! Praise the thrifting gods!

I paired the shirt with my new jeans. I love that they are two-toned. The front is made of polished cotton so it looks like leather and the back panel is regular denim. I got them at Forever 21's crazy sale last month for 5 bucks. 5 BUCKS! How freaking crazy.

Well, it's currently a giant blizzard outside. If you're getting storm Nemo, please stay safe and have a wonderful weekend!

Forever 21 sweater, Target black jeans, vintage 60's coat, thrifted leather bag, Forever 21 hat, and Target boots.

I never thought I'd find the perfect pair of black jeans at Target. I was perusing the 70% off rack just for fun and found this pair. I tried them on not expecting much and BAM! They fit perfectly. Okay, so maybe the sequin stripes down the sides are a little much (sequins are never too much), but I like to be a little tacky at all times.

The temperatures were still frigid over the weekend so I stuck to my jeans/sweater combo. It's really the only kind of outfit I can stand to wear when it's 12 degrees. I got to take my new hat and sweater out for a spin and was super-excited. I got them at Forever 21's extra 50% off clearance sale. The sweater was $7 and the hat was $5. I was blown away!

It's supposed to be a little warmer the next few days so I plan on wearing a ton of seasonally-inappropriate clothes.

Vintage 1950's coat, thrifted jeans, thrifted Ann Taylor sweater, thrifted bag, Lane Bryant sunglasses and Charlotte Russe boots.

This coat and I are definitely having a moment. I bought it back in October when it was really inappropriate to wear it. I finally got to wear it today since temperatures only peaked at 20 degrees. I had dreams of pairing this coat with a pretty dress, but the weather got in the way. Sometimes the only way to stay warm is by sticking with jeans.
This coat is just amazing to me. It's made of the nicest wool and the velvet accents are to die for. It looks like it was never worn and now has a happy place to stay with the rest of my coats. I felt a little like Red Riding Hood wearing it.
I kept the rest of my outfit simple because I was running errands all day and my coat would be the statement piece.

These boots finally got to take a spin, after sitting in my closet for 2 years. I obviously don't wear them enough. They're comfortable, warm, and super cute. Also, these sunglasses are my new favorites. I got them last week for $2 at the outlet mall. What a great deal.

Well, I hope you have an amazing weekend. I just got loads of goodies at Forever 21's half off clearance sale!

thrifted blouse, Charlotte Russe jeans, thrifted vintage bag, vintage necklace, Rue 21 bracelet, and Betsey Johnson platforms.

Like I said in my previous post, throwing on a button up blouse is the easiest way to lose the blues. Well, pairing one with my favorite jeans makes my dilemmas vanish instantly. By dilemmas, I mean the age old question of "what a heck do I wear today? I have nothing."
Speaking of my favorite jeans, they have taken a long hiatus from this blog. For some reason, I put them on the very bottom of my huge pile of pants. I thought they were too small for me now, which is delusional of me, but hey a girl has her moments. Last week I pulled them out from the bottom, and started our happy relationship once again.

I pulled this particular blouse out of a rack of a thousand while thrifting a few weeks ago. As soon as I looked it over, I realized I had no linen button ups and this one would be perfect. It ended up being $2, quite the steal even though it has no label. That's something I never really cared about. Except, when it comes to my shoes!
