I knew I needed to buy this dress as soon as I saw it hanging on the racks. The fact that it fit me perfectly only solidified the fact that I was going to buy it and wear it a million times. This was my first spin in it and I'm already addicted. I love the stripes, the shape, the skirt, and everything else about it. Even though it has crazy stripes, it's so versatile. I can wear it alone in the warmer months and layer it for cooler months. If you don't have a dress like that in your closet, I suggest you invest in one! It will make life a lot more fun.

I have to give a big thank you to Brian's sweet mom who got me these awesome sunglasses. They're perfect for me. I've had them a little over a week and have worn them a bunch of times already. Red sunglasses are perfect for summer!

Hi all! I just wanted to let you know that I'm starting a YouTube channel. Here is my intro video. I hope all of you who read this (if there are any of you) enjoy my videos. Of course I'll still be updating my blog - I could never stop! I love it too much.

Thrifted chambray dress, vintage silk scarf, and thrifted leather flats.

Warmer weather always makes getting dressed a million times more fun. I can throw on one of my comfy dresses and dress the outfit down with flats or up with heels. For this look I went for a comfortable, casual, and fun look. I love this dress; it's got such a vintage flair to it. The chambray gives it a touch of the present. I almost went out the door without the scarf, but when I saw it hanging all lonely in the closet I put it on. Very unintentionally patriotic - red white and blue is perfect for the spring/summer.
The last thing I want to talk about are these flats. I've never owned a white pair and bought these at Salvation Army on a whim. I've been missing out - white flats go with everything! I've been wearing them non-stop since March. They especially look good with white and blue. If you don't have a pair, you should. I never thought I needed them, but I was wrong!

I can't believe it's been a week since I posted on here last! I've been dying to blog, but I was busy because MY NEW SHOP IS OPEN! I'm so excited about it and I love dressing up for work.
I wore this little leopard dress on my second full day at the shop. I'm obsessed with the neon piping and unique neckline.
When I used to work at Charlotte Russe I bought a lot of clothes there. When I left, I stopped shopping there because they raised their prices significantly. During my annual after-Christmas shopping binge I poked my head in again. I found this snazzy dress for $10 and a few other great things. I was happy to see their prices back down for some great clearance bargains (I'm cheap like that).

I certainly enjoyed the beautiful stretch of weather we just had. I got to wear a bunch of my dresses, climbed a flowering tree, and just was my all-around weird self. Hope you're having a wonderful week!

This skirt is another piece I picked up from the "going out of business sale" back in January. As soon as it hit 70 degrees, I knew it would be the first thing I wore.
I don't have a lot of white lace in my closet and after wearing this, I know I want more. Sometimes you just have to wear something that's over the top girly when it's warm (guys I'm looking at you too).

I have a confession to make: I fully intended on wearing these clogs all day but I had to take them off. The reason I haven't been wearing heels a lot lately is because I have nasty shin splints. They are really painful and I'm missing wearing heels! I can't wait until they feel better - I won't be able to take my high heels off.

Well, it's late and I hope you're getting some good sleep. I'm going to waste the next hour on YouTube.

P.S. It's bittersweet to say that this will be the last time I'm at my favorite photo spot. It's in Honeoye Falls and I'm finally all moved out and about to open on Park Ave!

rain rain go away

H&M dress, years old New York and Company cardigan, rope belt from who knows where, and vintage Ferragamo flats.

I wore this outfit to a kid's birthday party yesterday when it was 70 and sunny. By the time I got home to snap some photos, it was pouring. Brian and I settled on an impromptu photo-shoot inside. Complete with The Twist, my iMac poster, and some cats (I don't know where they came from, they just showed up).

I got this dress back in January when the H&M in my area was going out of business. It was the only one left and a size too big, but I loved it. I honestly don't mind how it fits and it was only $7. I couldn't wait to wear it, but unfortunately had to wait 4 months due to the awful weather around here. I think I'll be wearing it a lot this summer.

thigh high to the sky

H&M skirt, Forever 21 sweater top, Target thigh highs, Kathy Van Zeeland bag (it's over 5 years old), Lane Bryant sunglasses, and thrifted loafers.

Today I woke up and the sun was shining. I was pretty excited to wear a skirt, but when I checked the temperature I noticed it was chilly. I didn't feel like wearing tights so I put on a pair of thigh-high socks. I have so many pairs from when I went on a buying binge a couple years ago. I was obsessed with the idea of wearing thigh-highs with everything and only wore them a few times. I'm ready to give my collection a workout!

I kept the outfit black and white mainly because I was so excited to wear my new loafers. I got them at Salvation Army in a stroke of thrifting luck. I'm super in love with them. I'm addicted to the "click click click" sound they make when I walk. My man-shoe collection is rapidly growing. Cue a groan from Brian.

I hope you're week was wonderful. Mine was very productive, but now I have to go watch Dates From Hell. I'm way too into the Investigation Discovery channel.
