Thrifted chambray dress, vintage silk scarf, and thrifted leather flats.

Warmer weather always makes getting dressed a million times more fun. I can throw on one of my comfy dresses and dress the outfit down with flats or up with heels. For this look I went for a comfortable, casual, and fun look. I love this dress; it's got such a vintage flair to it. The chambray gives it a touch of the present. I almost went out the door without the scarf, but when I saw it hanging all lonely in the closet I put it on. Very unintentionally patriotic - red white and blue is perfect for the spring/summer.
The last thing I want to talk about are these flats. I've never owned a white pair and bought these at Salvation Army on a whim. I've been missing out - white flats go with everything! I've been wearing them non-stop since March. They especially look good with white and blue. If you don't have a pair, you should. I never thought I needed them, but I was wrong!

I hope you had a great start to your week. Monday is my Sunday, so I'm back to work tomorrow.

Calvin Klein satin cargo jacket, thrifted silk blouse, Forever 21 two-tone jeans, and Acne Atacoma boots.

While running some very important errands in the city, my mom and I decided that the perfect place to take photos would be in front of my dream house. A perfect pale-pink Victorian that looks like a giant dollhouse. I'm so obsessed with it I have it set so Zillow will email me if it ever goes on the market. Hopefully, that will be a substantial amount of years from now when I have the means to buy it. Of course, this is all dream talk.

I wanted to keep my outfit casual yet professional today and I thought one of the best pieces to wear would be my new Calvin Klein jacket. I happened to get super-lucky and was at the outlet mall when they were having a MAJOR blowout sale. Half of the store was $5. I ended up with this jacket and an amazing pair of two-toned slacks. I couldn't believe they were only $5 each. Crazy.
I also got to break in my new boots! I couldn't be in love with a pair of shoes more. They are so comfortable and I couldn't stop looking at my feet all day. I still can't believe I own them. I was going through old blog posts and found a dream shoe list from back in 2010. These boots were on it and now they're on my feet. I'm mystified.

I hope you're having an amazing week. Mine is pretty exciting, but more on that later.

Thrifted Victoria's Secret shift gown, Miss Trish for Target lizard sandals, gifted belt, and Prada "inspired" sunglasses from eBay.

What do you do when you feel like the laziest person in the world and you have to get dressed? Wear a dress that's supposed to be a night gown of course. I found this 90's Victoria's Secret silk dress while cruising the pajama isle at Salvation Army. Take the tip from me, you can find some goodies there. A lot have the tags still attached. I've already worn this little number a bunch of different ways. While traveling I wore it as a shift dress, a blouse, and now a belted dress. It's awesome, especially for summer. The only problem I have is that it wrinkles way too easily, but that's just a problem with silk in general.

I'm sure you noticed my sunglasses, right? They're obviously a rip off of the Prada Minimal Baroque sunnies. I came across an eBay store that sells designer-inspired sunglasses super-cheap. I believe I talked about it in this post. I got this particular pair for $2 (I'm really eyeing another Prada inspired pair). Let's face it, selling vintage clothes isn't making me rich. I would love to drop the dough and give the much deserved credit to Prada, but I can't. Knockoffs and designer "inspired" items are a hot button issue in the fashion world. I would never wear something that had a designers logo but was obviously fake. For example, I love Chanel and can't afford a bag. Never in a million years would I wear a fake Chanel bag. Just like I would never wear these sunglasses if Prada was stamped on it. That may sound hypocritical, but that's just the way I see things.

Anyway rant aside, I am officially back from my short hiatus. I took a little vacation after July 4th. I did some neat stuff. These photos were actually taken at The Corn Hill Arts Festival, which was so much fun! I hope you're weekend was just as exciting as mine!

Thrifted Saks silk blazer, thrifted Victoria's Secret slip dress, Kathy Van Zeeland bag, and Restricted Footwear wedges.

This blazer has sat in my closet practically untouched since I bought it two years ago. It was a great find at only 5 bucks. It was also a very rare find because there are never nice things like this laying around here. It's a really unique color and is super soft. It also came with horrendous shoulder pads that I removed.
I paired it with a simple slip dress because my obsession with them seems never-ending. I love how they look under things. Almost as if I woke up in my night gown and just threw a jacket over it. It kind of comes off as low maintenance (or sloppy), depending on how you look at it.
Also, I was trying out some cotton candy pink lipstick I picked up last weekend. I'm really liking it so far, it seems to go with everything!

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Thrifted silk Ralph Lauren blouse, vintage shorts (they're my moms), thrifted Nine West sandals, and Kathy Van Zeeland bag.

I can honestly say, this blouse has to be one of the best finds in the history of my thrifting. I found this nearly new blouse on the clearance rack at Goodwill. It ended up being 3 bucks. That was actually over a year ago, I've just never shared it on the blog.
I paired this dreamy silk shirt with my mom's shorts from the 70's. I seriously can't stop wearing them. Ever since she gave them to me over Memorial Day weekend, I've worn them a half dozen times. I even wore them today! The basket weave pockets are so unique.
Overall, a very comfortable outfit.

Well, It's 3:30 am while I'm typing this. I stayed up late doing work for my shop. I must sleep now. Hope you're having a great week!

Thrifted silk blouse, thrifted Bongo jeans, vintage Ray-Bans, Chanel flats, and Kathy Van Zeeland bag.

Here I am, up way too late and watching my favorite Batman cartoons because I forgot to blog. So silly of me, I had these photos ready and everything,
Anyway, I've found my outfits to be sans-heels lately. Don't get me wrong, I love dressing up. I find myself to be overdressed wherever I go. I really can't deny my other love for simple, casual outfits perfect for ballet flats. I find it hard not to wear them with beautiful Chanel and Ferragamo waiting in my closet.

This was just my casual running errands outfit. The silk is so luxurious, but not too ridiculous for causal wear. Sorry if my outfits have taken a turn for the boring; I am just loving experimenting with dressed down outfits.

Well, I have to go: Bruce Wayne is having an epic battle with his subconscious. He's stuck in a dream land the Mad Hatter put him in. SPOILER ALERT (well, only if you've never seen the cartoon)!
