Missoni for Target poncho, Kohl's faux leather shorts, Target tee, and Miss Trish for Target lizard sandals.

I wore this outfit for a picnic in the park on Sunday. After my meal was consumed, I spent the remainder of my time running around like a goofy idiot. My boyfriend snapped some photos of those goofy antics, maybe I'll post them so you can see that I'm really crazy. Hey, it made the kids laugh and a baby cry...I'm truly frightening.

I picked up these shorts a couple of weeks ago for 5 bucks. Already, I want to wear them everyday. Every time I put them on my boyfriend says something like, "Oh, those..."
Boys hate them, most girls around here hate them, I love them.

I'm running so late, so I'm going to bid you adieu for now. I'm always freaking late.

Vintage Versace jeans, American Apparel leotard, gifted scarf, thrifted bag, and Betsey Johnson platforms.

Spending Saturday afternoon walking around my little city was very entertaining. I love the old Chevrolet building that's now a coffee shop, I love that all trees that line the streets are blooming, and the old churches where weddings were taking place.
I tried to dress according to the temperature, but was unprepared for the very gusty wind. My hair became a mess of tangles in seconds. I forgot that part about long hair. It's funny how when you desire something you lost, you always forget the negative aspects of what it was to have it. That's the relationship I'm currently having with my hair. I think I'll keep it just because it took so long to get here.
I love these Versace jeans, and as you can see my love for "mom jeans" transcends from Levi's to other fabrics. I found this amazing treasure at Salvation Army, they were two bucks and I prayed they would fit. They did. It's not everyday you find Versace at a thrift store, especially where I live.

It's quite rainy and gloomy here. I hope you're having sunshine where ever you are!

thrifted blouse, Charlotte Russe jeans, thrifted vintage bag, vintage necklace, Rue 21 bracelet, and Betsey Johnson platforms.

Like I said in my previous post, throwing on a button up blouse is the easiest way to lose the blues. Well, pairing one with my favorite jeans makes my dilemmas vanish instantly. By dilemmas, I mean the age old question of "what a heck do I wear today? I have nothing."
Speaking of my favorite jeans, they have taken a long hiatus from this blog. For some reason, I put them on the very bottom of my huge pile of pants. I thought they were too small for me now, which is delusional of me, but hey a girl has her moments. Last week I pulled them out from the bottom, and started our happy relationship once again.

I pulled this particular blouse out of a rack of a thousand while thrifting a few weeks ago. As soon as I looked it over, I realized I had no linen button ups and this one would be perfect. It ended up being $2, quite the steal even though it has no label. That's something I never really cared about. Except, when it comes to my shoes!

Thrifted silk blouse, years old Max Rave skirt, random socks, vintage bag, sunglasses, and bracelet, and Chanel flats.

Whenever I'm depressed with my wardrobe and frustrated with everything I try on, I turn to button up blouses. They are the easiest thing to throw on when in a bind. The combinations are seemingly endless. I chose to wear my mustard silk blouse with one of my favorite skirts. I can't stop wearing it, even though we're six years into our relationship. I don't foresee us breaking up anytime soon. The pleats are just too divine.

My boyfriend and I were exploring the technology park near our apartment on Sunday. The normally hustling, bustling place was totally abandoned, so we snapped these photos. It was almost haunting to see the giant buildings and parking lots totally empty and silent. Everything was so still, except for the fighting geese and a lawnmower humming in the distance. It struck me so much, and it's really hard to explain why.
It sounds so silly when I type it out, but I am silly so that's nothing new.

Vintage Levi's, Forever 21 tee, Kohl's cardigan, Target socks, Aldo Mignogna wedges, and vintage necklace.

"To each their own" my mother would say. "My own" happens to be what a lot of people would call "mom jeans." My penchant for 80's Levi's is outrageous, I have a bunch of different pairs and they're all in different fits. This pair happens to be my favorite. To make the jeans even more awkward, I added some nerdy socks to keep my feet from freezing. Also, I couldn't forget my trusty cardigan from last winter.
I hate to be that blogger that just talks about the weather, but it's been awful here. It went from being in the 70s to being in the 30s. These temperatures feel subzero to me and I couldn't even stand outside for 5 minutes to take photos. C'est la vie.

I'm off to kick off the weekend. I hope you enjoy your's!

Lime Crime?

If any of you follow me on Twitter or read my Facebook, you know I'm on a quest for some unusual lipsticks. Especially in a gorgeous lavender color. My first instinct was to head over to MAC and see what they had, but in finding out I had missed their awesome Lavender Whip by two years, I was sad. Thus in my research, I discovered the much talked about company Lime Crime. (This may be old news to some of you, but hey I'm slow).
Photobucket
The founder of the company Doe Deere, claims that she is the queen of the unicorns. This is pretty evident by they unicorn lipstick tubes. I think that's a fun touch, and brings me back to childhood.
Photobucket
The lipsticks come in a range of crazy colors (since this photo was taken, the mint and yellow have been discontinued), I was most captivated by D'lilac, (second row, middle photo) Airborne Unicorn, (first row, third photo) and Oh No She Didn't (bottom row, first photo).

I'd love to try these gorgeous colors out, but there is one thing stopping me from purchasing. It's the fact that Lime Crime has been shrouded in controversy seemingly since the birth of the company. The company was notorious for repackaging eyeshadow and reselling under their name. That doesn't bother me at all, what bothers me was the attitude of Doe Deere when confronted with the issue. I'm not going to delve into it too deeply. If you want to read about the controversy, THIS beauty blog dives right in.

I'd really like to try some out but the review of the actual lipstick seems to be hit or miss.
Should I go for it? Are there any other brands selling colors like this? Help me out!
