Miu Miu SS 2010 swallow clogs.

I am so excited to share these beautiful, beautiful clogs with you. They are from my dream collection. You may remember the hysteria all the shoes caused! Miu Miu killed it with all of the pieces, I could seriously wear everything. Even though 2 years have passed, it's still so awesome!
I never thought in a million years I would own a piece. They were a super sweet birthday present from my parents. They got a great deal because there is a crack in the wood. I'm going to get it fixed by my awesome shoe guy. Want to know how little they scored them for? $62! That seems impossible. They retailed for something around $545. Insane, just insane.
I could go on, but I'll stop there. I'm taking them to get fixed tomorrow so hopefully they'll be on my feet soon!

I hope everyone is having a great short work week!

a big package for you

Sorry I've been neglecting my blog. It's one of my favorite things to do on my downtime and I've missed it. I feel like I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I started writing for Solis Magazine, which has been an amazing experience so far.
You can check out my first article here.

Anyway, woohoo! My first pair of luxury-level designer shoes are these amazing Dolce & Gabbana's. They are very used, but that doesn't matter to me. As soon as I saw them on eBay I swooned and then I saw the price. I nearly fainted (not really, I just like being dramatic). They were only $35. I woke up very early, prepared to duke it out with other fashion-hungry bidders. To my surprise, there weren't any. Maybe they're too worn for other people, but not for me. To me, they're perfect.

ALSO, make sure you check out my good friend Amanda's blog. She writes about being in a long distance relationship with her British fiancé. I can't even imagine what that would be like: she's stronger than I could ever be. Go Amanda!

I hope you're having a great week! Mine's been pretty stellar!

new arrivals

I have an outfit post ready to go, but I was too excited by my recent treasures. I just had to share!

1. The gorgeous Missoni for Target cardigan I dreamed about. Found it on clearance!
2 & 3. A present from my boy (he gave me coupon to pick out one designer item, awwww). I chose the Betsey Johnson Whitfield pumps that I've wanted for over 3 years.
4. A vintage Armani jacket I got for a mere 5 dollars from a private seller at my shop. Ah, the perks of owning a vintage boutique.
5. Another Missoni for Target clearance dream. It was the piece I wanted THE MOST, hands down. (Not to mention there was only one left and it was my size. I had to get it, DUH.)

Clearly, I am quite a lucky gal. I can't believe all of my great finds these past few weeks
Have you found anything great lately?

the shoe list

With lingering money left from my birthday, what is there to do? Buy another pair of shoes of course. Here are some pairs that have been lingering on my brain.

I saw these at Macy's last week and I can't get the image out of my head. The blush suede is so romantic. A modern twist on a classic pump.

I've never really liked the Lita, I know some people are CRAZY for them. Except, I saw these and fell in love. I really love the mix of leopard and hot pink tongue. Perfect for winter and definitely a stand out shoe.

I am so in love with the studs on Lorissa. Just like with the Lita, I really don't have the money right now. If I did you'd definitely see Lorissa adorning my feet. I'm not sure what color I would get though...

Jessica Simpson Dany.
Yes, I love the infamous Dany platform. I really would love them in pewter but you can't buy them anymore. You can only get them on eBay. *Crossing my fingers a cheap pair will be listed*

So which pair should I go for?

Heat Wave

Forever 21 floral mary janes.

It's been too hot for me to wear anything remotely put together. So, since I have no outfit post for you, I thought I'd share my lovely new shoes I talked about a few posts back. I normally don't buy shoes from Forever 21 due to quality issues, but when I saw these I fell in love. Unfortunately, even back in February they were sold out. I am so crazy that I stalked them on ebay until now and won! It also didn't help that most people were selling them for ridiculous amounts of money, way more than they're worth. I scored them for their original retail price $25.
They are surprisingly well made, and honestly one of the only floral pieces in my closet. I can't wait to pair them with unconventional pieces.

Dreaming of shoes.

All this week I've been sick and haven't felt like taking pictures of myself. So instead of leaving my blog updateless...I've decided to make a post of shoes I want SO badly.
BUT I'll probably never have them because either A) they're wayyyyyyy out of my price range or B) they've stopped being produced.
Sad sad sad.

First on my list are these Christian Louboutin Mad Mary's. These shoes I've been dying to own since I was about 17. I love the twist on a classic mary jane and I freaking love studs! They have been out of production for probably two years, and even if they were still being made they are in the 800 plus range. :( *sadface*

I know it seems like everyone in the fashion blogosphere has the Acne Atacoma Wedges, but they are ridiculous! The pairs with the silver on the bottom aren't for me, I love this one though! It's something different, that's for sure. Too bad these babies start at 600 dollars. Yikes!

Something about these Nina Ricci pumps screams femininity and delicacy. The yellow lame could spice up anyone's shoe wardrobe, and the spiral heel adds a beautiful touch. These heels are in the 800 plus price range. Something I could never just drop down on shoes. I don't even have 800 dollars to my name!

Meet the Sam Edelman Zoe boot. Modeled after Balenciaga. They are truly out of this world and crazy. A normal civilian on the street would probably think I'm nuts for wearing these, but I'd love to slip my feet into them. These boots start at the 300 dollar range, which is still EXPENSIVE in the eyes of my pocketbook.

And lastly...

These beauties from the Prada fall 09' collection. I'd prefer the purple velvet pair but I couldn't find a picture of them. I love all the studs (I'd love anything studded haha) and the chunky heel!

Now that you've taken a look into some of the shoes I'm DYING to slip my feet into, what's something on your must have but can't afford wish list?

Casual Monday

Hi! It's been awhile. BUT now that I'm back on a normal schedule, I'll be updating every day and at the LEAST every other day.
Today I woke up extremely exhausted and I didn't feel like getting dressy.
Excuse the mess in my apartment in the pictures, I'm in the middle of rearranging everything.

I'm gathering quite the collection of jackets you can just throw over anything, but I think this one is my favorite. It's easy to dress up or down :-) Plus it was only 20 bucks.

I love my couch but sometimes it's so uncomfortable.
