Forever 21 romper, gifted sandals and sunglasses (don't know where they're from sorry!)

Here I am, about a month late sharing my Cancun photos. Business picked up when I got home, so I had a lot of adult life things to take care of.
I'm so excited to share this post because of this romper. A year ago I never would have worn it. I would have been deathly self-conscious and afraid. I have struggled a lot with showing skin and owning my body. There are a lot of reasons as to why, but I won't get into that.
What I will say is that I went into 2019 ready to challenge myself. Even in a small way like this.
It's a new year, it was time to leave all that baggage behind.
I practically had to when I found this romper anyway. It screamed my name and was the only one left in the store which happened to be my size. On top of that, it ended up being 4 bucks.
4 bucks for the 70's-inspired romper of my dreams?
Yes, please.
This particular day we toured a Mayan ruin. That's what all the stonework is in the photos. I've been to it a few times now, but it never ceases to amaze me. The fact that it's been there for a thousand years really puts life into perspective for me.

Mexico was really good for me. I was fortunate enough to go. 10 years ago, I never thought I'd ever see Mexico - let alone get to stay at a gorgeous resort.
I recharged, refocused, took time to assess what's really important in life. Now that I'm back, I'm mentally in a much better place. Reaching for things and making things happen.
It's already paying off.
In life, you have to put in what you want to receive.
But I won't bore you.
I have a random collection of photos from my vacation that I'll share next. A photo diary of my trip if you will.
I'm still working on my vlog as well - just having some technical problems (as usual).

xx,
Morgan

Forever 21 romper, thrifted hat, Gap bag, Icing sunglasses, and Restricted footwear wedges.

When you're in a bad mood, there is nothing better than a floppy hat to hide yourself from the world. I frequently have days where I want to hide my face. That's probably because I'm an extremely awkward person and don't like when weird strangers talk to me. Particularly when 12 year old boys ride by on their scooter calling me a "hot momma." So awkward.

Playsuits/rompers are probably the best thing to wear in the summer. It's too bad I don't have more with the 90+ heat we're having. Sometimes I feel like melting. I wish I could have been at my apartment's pool drinking iced tea. Too bad I had to work, boo.

So it's finally Friday and my day has consisted of 80's music (let's not talk about my hopeless love for bad 80's jams). Pretty good so far. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

H&M romper, Restricted footwear wedges, Gap bag, eBay sunglasses and handmade necklace.

I wore this on a long Saturday out celebrating Brian's new job. It's perfect because it's an outfit all in one. That's the best part about rompers. I love the retro feel, it's one of my favorites. Apparently, it's random dudes at the bar's favorite too. When I walked by one simply said "POLKA DOT!" to get my attention. If only he knew they were hearts and not polka dots.

There is an intense lightning show going on outside my window. I'm going to watch it while simultaneously finishing Mission Impossible. Hope your Monday was peachy!

Charlotte Russe romper, Gap bag, thrifted Nine West sandals, sunglasses from eBay, and Nyx Round lipstick in Chloe.

Breezy rompers are absolutely perfect for hot summer days. I kept the styling pretty simple (except for my new lipstick I'm obsessed with), that's pretty standard for outfits when it's hot out. I know I don't like to be layered up when the heat makes me swell up. How do you style your summer duds?
I got these sunglasses from eBay for 4 dollars. Obviously, they're heavily inspired by Alexander Wang. I really don't like wearing knockoff's but I do wear things that are inspired by a designer's work. For example, my Sam Edelman Zoe boots. They're modeled after a pair from Balenciaga. One day when I'm rich I'll buy all the fancy designer duds, stay tuned until then (haha)!

PS- I got my hair re-done and I love it!

Well, head out because I am going away for the weekend. I hope you all have a fabulous one!

Last weekend, the boy and I took a wonderful day trip to this cute little resort town on the shore of Lake Ontario. When we arrived after traveling for about an hour, I was surprised to see a bunch of boardwalk shops. Each store was tiny and had it's own unique flair, but I was even more surprised to find a vintage shop entitled Sea Hag Vintage.
Walking inside I was overwhelmed by all of the amazing coats, skirts, handbags, jewelry, and shoes. Let me tell you, there was so much of everything in this tiny space! While I was sorting through who knows what, my boyfriend exclaimed, "Are these real?" I turned to find him holding the best treasure ever - a pair of authentic vintage Chanel flats. The label inside was almost worn off, but I could still read it. Long story short, that's how I wound up with these beauties:

The leather is so soft, and they are so comfortable. They definitely have already become a staple in my closet. Expect to see a lot of them!

Anyway, it's time to grab a nice dinner to celebrate the weekend. Happy Friday!

H&M romper, Target cardigan, Aldo Mignogna wedges, and Kathy Van Zeeland bag.

So maybe I was a bit over zealous (something I am quite often) when I bought this romper during the after Christmas sales, mainly because I couldn't wear it for four months.
I love its perfect airiness and the flow of the old fashioned shorts. The combination of girlie with gritty cord ties make it a really fun piece.
I had been waiting for the perfect time to wear it since thigh highs and tights don't look quite right with it. Well that perfect time came when the weather was almost warm during my weekend rituals with my boy. We head downtown to our favorite restaurant for lunch and just bask in the glory of having nothing to do.
People around town didn't seem to like my romper as much as I do. They gave me strange looks, probably because they think it's not warm enough for bare legs. Anything 50 and up works for me!
I've noticed that I wear these wedges quite often even though I have loads of shoes to chose from. They're too comfortable to say no to when styling an outfit, I even brought them to NYC knowing they would be great to hit the sidewalk in. Even though they probably qualify for the world's greatest shoe, I will make an effort to show more of my expanding shoe collection.

I think this rainy day has finally caught up to me, so I'm off to bed. Have lovely dreams and don't let to boogeyman get you!
